Katherine Sabbath is a Sydney based high school teacher by day and a truly spectacular baker in her spare time.
Baking is a hobby and she is self taught.
She has a cult following on Instagram and there is no surprise why.
Her incredible and delightful use of colour is so creative and unique.
I absolutely adore her designs.
Her cakes make me smile a lot.
She gets her inspiration from everywhere, particularly Willy Wonka!
She recently held a Dessert Degustation event at the Shangri-La Hotel in Sydney.
Tickets for this event sold out in an hour.

Go and follow her on Instagram to see more of her amazing creations.

Oh I forgot a good bit, she uses a trowel to ice the cakes.

I love her even more!

Filmmaker, Tatia Pilieva had an idea to get 20 strangers together in the same place for a first kiss.
She captured the before, during and after of each pairs first kiss in this 3 minute short film.
What a concept!
The video was an advertisement for clothes (Wren Studio).
It is interesting to see the reactions, laughing,...small talk and then the kiss!
You can feel the awkwardness of what is a nerve wracking experience.
Take a look....

Have a fabulous weekend!

Margot Robbie at the Oscars was absolutely STUNNING in Saint Laurent, the hair, red lip but it was that statement necklace....
THE Zip necklace by Van Cleef & Arpels.

I couldn't get her image on Instagram fast enough
(as those who follow would know and for those who don't and would like to @jennicholljewellery).
She was my stand out favourite from this years Oscars.
#nailed it

I thought it would be interesting to share the story behind the incredible zip necklace.

Firstly Margot......

In 1938 the Duchess of Windsor asked ReneĆ© Puissant,
( the Maison's artistic director and the daughter of Alfred Van Cleef )
to create a piece of jewellery inspired by the zip.

After years of technical challenges the necklace was finally produced in 1951.
A limited number were produced in yellow gold with diamonds and coloured gemstones.
Unzipped it is a necklace and zipped it becomes a bracelet.

Gold and Diamonds

White Gold and Sapphires

White Gold ,Turquoise, Chloromelanite and Chrysoprase

White Gold, Mother of Pearl and Lapis Lazuli

The necklace worn by Margot Robbie has 150 diamonds and 300 sapphires set in 18K yellow gold, estimated to be worth $1.5 million.
To quote Margot "This necklace is worth more than my life"

Treat  yourself to the video below......

A truly rare piece as less than 10 have been auctioned over the years.
An estimated 600-800 hours to produce!

Who wouldn't want to be zipped in one of these?

Who was your favourite at the Oscars?
Or should I ask what was your favourite jewellery?
